WELCOME TO MY DIY SHOP. HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR TIME HERE. IF THIS IS THE FIRST TIME BUILDING SOMETHING DON'T BE AFRAID TO START. THE REWARD HAS NO WORDS TO EXPRESS THE FEELING TO SEE SOMETHING YOU CREATED WITH YOUR OWN HANDS. GREAT! LETS CUT THE TALK AND START WORKING ON IT.
LIST OF MATERIALS:
(3) 8 x 10 x 1 LUMBER
(1) BOX OF SCREWS 2"
(1)20 GALLONS FISH TANK (optional)
(1) GALLON OF PAINT
(1) BOTTLE OF WOOD GLUE
(WATER FILTER ,WATER HEATER, LED LIGHT)
MY TANK I GOT IT FROM MEIJER AT A GOOD DEAL. YOU CAN ALSO FIND FILTERS, FISH, AND FOOD. THE HEATER AND LIGHT I PURCHASED FROM AMAZON. I WILL LEAVE THE LINK FOR EVERYTHING BELOW.
NOW THE TOOLS YOU WILL NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE :
TABLE SAW,
CUTTING SAW,
NAIL GUN, AND (1 1/2") NAILS,
SMALL HAND DRILL,
DRILL BITS,
WOOD PUTTY,
DON'T FORGET SAFETY GLASSES & EARS PLUGS!
CUT 8 PIECES 2 1/2 INCHES WIDE BY 48 TALL OUT OF THE LUMBER.
TAKE 2 OF THESE PIECES AND CUT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE ON ONE SIDE OF EACH PIECE. THAT WILL FORM ONE POST OF YOUR BUILD. YOU KNOW, 45+45 =90. NOW GLUE THE 2 PIECES TOGETHER TO FORM ONE POST INTO A RIGHT ANGLE. ALSO USE 3 NAILS WITH YOUR NAIL GUN. FOR EXTRA REINFORCEMENT .

FROM HERE EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON HOW BIG YOUR TANK IS. MEASURE THE LENGTH AND WIDTH. MY TANK MEASURES 11x22". I WILL MAKE MY BOTTOM BASE AN INCH BIGGER ON EACH SIDE . CUT 2 (3x22") AND 2 (3x10"). NOW AS YOU CAN SEE IN THIS PICTURE, I AM PUTTING 2 SHELVES ON MY BUILD. I WILL JUST CUT EVERYTHING TWICE. SCREW THE 1ST 3x22 TO THE POST 12 " FROM BOTTOM, 2ND SELF 24" FROM THE BOTTOM, AND WALLAH! NOW CUT THE REST TO FILL THE BASE AND CHECK IF YOUR FISH TANK FITS.

NOW, CUT ONE MORE PIECE OF 3" WIDE FOR TOP MOLDING BY HOWEVER LONG YOUR LUMBER IT IS. A TOTAL OF FOUR PIECE MAKE A RECTANGLE. USED THAT FOR THE TOP OF THE FISH TANK.

CUT ONE MORE PIECE 2" WIDE( SAME LENGTH AS THE TOP) TOTAL OF 4 PIECES FOR THE BOTTOM .

FILL THE HOLES OF THE SCREWS, SAND, AND PAINT .

JOB WELL DONE! I HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR FISH TANK FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND COMMENTS AND FEEDBACK!
THANK YOU.
